The participants of the ” Dobrotvoritelnica” project had the opportunity to take part in various activities and events and in this way master the necessary knowledge and skills to make them responsible and committed individuals, able to work actively to promote the participation of disadvantaged youth in social life of their community. The main slogan of the project, proposed and approved by all participants, was: “Together we can do more, together we are better”.
The joint work achieved the main goal of the project, namely increasing the social commitment of young people, by attracting them to participate in various charitable and social initiatives.
Also achieved:
- Encouraging the initiative of the participants by involving them in various social and creative activities aimed at mastering knowledge and skills for conducting a charity campaign and developing social activities aimed at disadvantaged persons (researching a specific problem/problem group, generating ideas, analysis of possible solutions, creation/testing of the idea (product/service), reflection and evaluation);
- Development of the participants’ creativity by involving them in various creative and practical tasks aimed at drawing public attention to the problems of disadvantaged young people.
- Mastering critical thinking skills in young people, through the acquisition of new techniques and concepts for analyzing, synthesizing, evaluating and applying information gathered through observation, experience, reflection, in order to solve a specific problem;
- Mastering key skills, such as teamwork, communication skills, civic engagement and social solidarity, etc.
The key activities that took place within the framework of volunteering were aimed at promoting the need for greater involvement of the local community in various charitable causes aimed at helping disadvantaged children and young people.
At the end of the project, we reported high group consolidation and established stable communication links, which are a guarantee for ensuring future communication between the participants and upgrading the social campaigns started within the project.
Also achieved:
- Promoting the idea of youth volunteering and the opportunities it provides to support various charitable and social campaigns.
- Mastering key skills such as creativity, creative thinking, decision-making, communication in a multicultural environment, leadership.
- Development of partner organizations and enrichment of their portfolio to offer up-to-date and quality solutions for increasing the social commitment of young people.
