Main goal of the “Danube Youth Dragon Boat Festivals” project is for young people to build skills for socially responsible behavior, creating habits for regular sports, tourism and a physically active lifestyle, as a model for the prevention of various forms of diseases, as a result of which they develop sensitivity to a socially significant problem, such as leading a healthy and nature-saving lifestyle.
The project will involve 90 young people from the Vidin and Ruse region between the ages of 15 and 29, including young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEETs) and young people with fewer opportunities than the direct target group – youth experiencing economic and educational difficulties, belonging to ethnic minorities, living in isolated geographical areas and refugees.
The project will take place in 10 regions of Bulgaria, with the most important events, the dragon boat festival, taking place in Vidin and Ruse.
With the implementation of the project, we aim to increase knowledge about a healthy lifestyle – about health and social inclusion, among young people, by organizing and conducting a NATIONAL CAMPAIGN IN 10 REGIONS of the country and directing their attention to the importance of a healthy lifestyle through sports for all generations and social groups.
