Today,14.03.2020, in connection with the implementation of the project № 2019-3-BG01-ESC11-077759 „Volunteering for a better life“, funded by the European Solidarity Corps Program, and the declared state of emergency on the territory of the country, declared by Decision № 180 / 13.03.2020 of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, it is necessary to temporarily terminate the volunteer service of the project.
The emergency situation occurred both in Bulgaria and in the country of our partner organization – Romania, and the imposition of strict measures for safety and security of the population, including the participants in the project. The 21-day volunteer service, planned within the project „Volunteering for a better life“, has a set implementation period from 04.03.2020 to 24.03.2020 and includes 13 participants from Romania and 12 participants from Bulgaria. Its implementation started according to the plan on 04.03.2020, but due to the emergency situation in Bulgaria from 13.03.2020 it had to be suspended on 14.03.2020 in view of the safety of the participants.
Association “Bokaya”, as the leading organization, declares its readiness to implement the voluntary service provided for in the project immediately after the end of the emergency situation and after prior coordination of safety measures with the partner organization Asociatia Act Integration.
